PB Environnements Medium+ and Mega G3 compact RCVs are also on display. The Medium+ offers a payload of 2.5 tonnes and capacity of seven cubic metres whilst the newly developed Mega G3 provides a volume of eight cubic metres and a payload of three tonnes from a 7.5 tonne GVW vehicle

Commenting on the agreements, Will Marzano, managing director for Terberg Matec UK, said: Were extremely happy with the exclusive deals we have secured with AUSA and PB Environnement. Having extensively tested both products we firmly believe that AUSAs Urban line of products offer some of the best street cleaning solutions available with the B 200 H being no exception. The PB Environnement compact RCVs are just as impressive and allow us to offer a superb, robust and manoeuvrable RCV solution for the collection of food waste, missed bins and other general waste collection operations.

The Northern Irish company designed, manufactured and installed the MRF for Birmingham-based Weir Waste. The MRF will recover recyclable materials from commercial and industrial waste and will feed into the existing Trinity Street processing facility in Oldbury, bringing the capacity to in excess of 25 tonnes of waste processed per hour. The plant was contracted to Kiverco through waste and construction machinery supplier Blue Group. The project was part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and managed by the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP).

The Trinity Street MRF is the first of its kind for Kiverco and demonstrates our ability to deliver a project on this scale and one which has exceeded our clients expectations. Our expertise in design and manufacture, our ability to offer materials testing and to effectively partner with leading technology partners such as Titech and Hartner, have all been demonstrated through this contract, said John Lines, sales director for Kiverco.

Wiltshire-based Grist Group has purchased a pre-press, twin-ram baler from recycling equipment engineers Middleton Engineering.

Grist Group bought the Middleton ME2R150P for use on its Devizes site. The baler is capable of producing dense bales of waste material. The firm said the Middleton twin ram design forces more materials into the chamber before the twin ram cycles through, achieving high compaction rates with fewer cycles.

Grist Group undertakes a wide range of activities including end of life vehicle and metal recycling, vehicle and crane hire, waste and recycling collections and composting.

Nigel Grist, managing director of Grist Group, commented: We have spent a long time evaluating all the models on the market to see which would be the most robust, to give us the best throughput. We wanted a fully automatic twin ram, which will still handle significant volumes 5 years down the line. As we know we shall be expanding the business, it is important to choose the right machine which has been engineered to last and with the Middleton prepress, weve got it.

The DX140LCR-3 excavator is powered by the Cummins QSB 4.5 common rail 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine featuring a maintenance-free Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) after-treatment technology to meet Stage IIIB engine emission regulations. The engine runs at 2200 RPM and delivers 11% more power and 10% more torque compared to the previous Stage IIIA compliant DX140LCR model.

Doosan said arm and bucket forces have been increased by up to 8% along with the travel speed which can now reach 3.2 and 5.3 km/h in the low and high range, respectively. Owing to the incorporation of a 400kg heavier counterweight (3500 kg), the lifting capacities for the new DX140LCR-3 excavator have also been boosted by up to 7%. Additionally, the cab offers direct control through joysticks and allows the operator to record and select hydraulic flow and pressure to operate up to 10 different attachments.
