Anthesis acquires waste consultancy LRS

Waste specialist LRS Consultancy has been acquired by Anthesis Group – its sixth acquisition in 18 months.

Anthesis’ purchase of the consultancy firm will see it offer waste treatment, recycling and resource management expertise to its clients.

LRS, previously known as London Remade Solutions, specialises in ‘materials resource efficiency’ and the ‘development of the circular materials economy’.

LRS’ clients are varied across the supply chain, including Tesco, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Nestlé, Akzo Nobel, Unilever, Costa, CIPS, Veolia, Viridor and SITA, as well as local and national government organisations.

The company merged with another environmental consultancy – Urban Mines – in April last year, which continued operating under the LRS Consultancy name (see letsrecycle.com story).

The firm will know be known as Anthesis LRS, and joins consultancies such as Best Foot Forward, UMR, Caleb, SecondNature, M4C which have been acquired since Anthesis Group began trading.

Anthesis is a global consultancy operating in six countries. The company’s clients include corporate multinationals Coca-Cola, Tesco, ArjoWiggins and Reckitt Benckiser.
