Mrs Watterson will be succeeded by Steve Wingate, currently with the British Metals Federation, who will take over the post on Monday.
Keith Barnes of Advance Wipers and president of the TRA said: “Peggie has given nine years loyal service to the association and has provided support in a cheerful and efficient way.
Past president Lawrence Barry said: “Peggie has done a wonderful job for many years and has always been a tremendous support to the officers of the association.”
Mr Barnes said he was looking forward to working with Mr Wingate and the fact that the office was moving back to Brampton which would provide back-up support for the association.
Mrs Watterson worked for the TRA for nine years and was previously based at Brampton before moving to offices in Boxworth, Cambridgeshire.
