The company said that the new site at Optima Park, will measure 65,000 sq feet with a capability of shredding upwards of 500+ tonnes a week to help the company service its 40,000 customers.
The expansion in Crayford, which is in the London Borough of Bexley, follows on from expansion elsewhere in the business this year. In July the company moved from its Winchester depot to a centre in Southampton, which, said Restore Datashred, “gives us more space to grow and also enables us to meet our customers’ needs across a wider section of southern England.”
London
In a statement the company explained that business in and around London contributes nearly 25% to Restore Datashred’s revenues. Giving more details of the new site, the company said: “We have now outgrown our busy 18,000-square-foot site at Crayford in Kent, where we run 50 vehicles and destroy more than 400 tonnes a week of confidential shredding.
“In September, we’re moving the entire operation two miles up the road to a depot that’s four times the size, giving us the scope to grow and confidently continue to provide a quick, efficient and confidential service to the London area.”
The business is also seeing expansion in Scotland with a move from the existing Livingston depot to a larger 22,000 sq ft nearby.
Throughput
And, Restore Datashred, which has Anthony Pearlgood as managing director, said that in 2018 it hopes to exceed its 2017 throughput of 100,000 tonnes of paper.
