BeWise, founded by Gary Jefferies in 2014, provides specialist hazardous waste management and industrial services to manufacturing customers in south west and southern England, from Cornwall to Sussex. Mr Jefferies will be joining Future.
Facilities
Future chief executive, David Lusher said the BeWise acquisition would strengthen the company’s presence in the south west.

He commented: “The addition of BeWise accelerates the growth of the hazardous waste business across the South West and will result in a more local service provided to customers.”
Mr Lusher added that this service provision is supported by “regional capital projects completed last year, which include the rebuild and expansion of the Honiton treatment and transfer facility as well as the redevelopment of the company’s Devonport oil recovery facility in Plymouth.”
Merseyside
Future has its head office on Merseyside and a range of sites stretching from Berwick upon Tweed in the north of England to Plymouth in Devon as well as Newport in Wales. It currently employs more than 270 people.
Future’s specialist industrial services facilities operate in Merseyside, Hull, Newport, Rugby and Honiton, with the Honiton site sorting mixed industrial waste streams prior to disposal or recovery. Future claims to have the largest specialist liquid hazardous waste fleet in the UK.
