Your new role

We are looking for a Waste Management & Contracts Officer to join the Waste, Environmental Care and Street Cleansing team on a full time and permanent basis. This position will play a critical role in supporting the Service Manager – Waste, Environmental Care & Street Cleansing to meet corporate and departmental outcomes, monitor waste management and other front line services and provide technical support to key projects. This post will assist with the delivery of Southend 2050 outcomes and ambitions by establishing collaborative, effective and inclusive working partnerships with outcomes for citizens at its heart. It will play a critical role in developing services, providing technical and professional advice and support, undertaking citizen engagement, developing communications plans and campaigns and providing project and contract management expertise. In addition, it will act as a role model and advocate a professional, values driven and safe service to ensure the customer experience is optimised and services meet the Southend 2050 outcomes.
