Changing the Shape of Garden Waste Collections

Following the Government’s proposal in the Resources & Waste Strategy for universal free garden waste collections and the potential removal of charging for this service, LARAC commissioned SOENECS to collect data on the current state of play in the local authority sector for garden waste collections and to analyse the potential impact of changing from chargeable to free collections.

The webinar will feature Dr David Greenfield, managing director of SOENECS, who will present the findings of the research project. Then a LARAC member authority will present the challenges of implementing the Government’s proposals from an operational perspective.

The webinar will be chaired by Carole Taylor, Waste and Recycling Co-ordinator at Pendle BC.
