Hampshire Waste Services appoints new MD

Hampshire Waste Services has appointed Gavin Graveson as its new managing director, letsrecycle.com can reveal.

Mr Graveson is now settling into the new post, which he took up at the start of January. He was previously commercial director of Onyx's Greater London & South region.

Hampshire Waste Services is part of Onyx Environmental Group, which won a 25-year integrated waste management contract with Hampshire County Council in 1995.

The previous managing director at Hampshire Waste Services was Keith Riley, who was also managing director of Onyx's Greater London & South Region.

Hampshire has the second highest recycling and composting rate of any county in England and Wales, at 26%. The 14 local authorities in the areas work together in the Project Integra partnership.

Mr Graveson was not available for comment.
