The LARAC UK Conference & Celebration Awards returns to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 7–8 October 2026, bringing together local authority waste and recycling officers from across the UK for two days of insight, learning and sector-wide discussion.
Now in its 41st year, the conference remains the leading annual forum for local authorities to explore new policy developments, share best practice and hear the latest updates impacting waste and recycling services. Delegates can expect a mix of keynote sessions, panel discussions and practical workshops covering the key issues shaping collections, treatment, infrastructure, circular economy strategy and public engagement.
Alongside the daytime programme, the LARAC Celebration Awards will once again recognise outstanding achievement across local authority teams, projects and partnerships, highlighting the people and initiatives driving improvement and innovation throughout the sector.
