The final list of 35 was whittled down by an independent judging panel from more than 100 entries and announced during the RWM and Letsrecycle Live show at the NEC, Birmingham.

Organised by letsrecycle.com and sponsored by Grundon, the event heard from Neil Grundon, vice chairman of Grundon, and Steve Eminton, editor of letsrecycle.com.

Three of the status holders were chosen as the ‘top three status holders’ and were presented with a bottle of champagne from Mr Grundon to mark their achievement. The three are: Sioned Thomas, Paper Round; Ben Thompson, Veolia (who could not join on the day) and Shelley Holmes, Joint Waste Solutions and now at ReLondon.

Pictures from the event, including each individual winner, can be found here. These will also be emailed to the finalists.
