Compiled annually by the Financial Times and research company Statista, the report ranks the top 1,000 companies in Europe to have achieved the highest percentage growth over a specified period.
For 2022, which sees the sixth edition of the report, growth was analysed between 2017 and 2020.
Wastepack ranked 566th out of 1,000. The company was one of 12 waste management companies and 155 UK businesses included in the list. It was the only UK waste management company to be recognised.

The top spot on the FT1000 went to a marketplace for refurbished smartphones based in Finland.
Essex
Registered in 1997, the Wastepack Group operates a number of producer compliance schemes representing more than 1,000 members across both the Packaging Waste Regulations and the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations.
Wastepack was also recognised as the sixth fastest growing business in Essex in 2021 in consultancy Grant Thornton’s analysis, and the 48th top performing privately owned company in the county.
