The ceremony takes place on Wednesday 13 May at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, and will bring together over 1,000 leaders from across the recycling and waste management sector for a full afternoon of celebration, recognition and networking.
Now in its 22nd year, the Awards for Excellence is widely regarded as the most prestigious event in the recycling and waste management calendar. The 2026 shortlist has been announced across 21 categories spanning local authorities, waste contractors, technology innovators, independent businesses and community initiatives – with finalists drawn from organisations of all sizes across the UK.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, who will lead proceedings through the afternoon’s awards presentations.
