Two days to go: Awards for Excellence 2026 almost sold out

With just two days until the Awards for Excellence in Recycling & Waste Management 2026, organisers have confirmed that the event is almost sold out – with only a handful of tables remaining.

The ceremony takes place on Wednesday 13 May at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, and will bring together over 1,000 leaders from across the recycling and waste management sector for a full afternoon of celebration, recognition and networking.

Now in its 22nd year, the Awards for Excellence is widely regarded as the most prestigious event in the recycling and waste management calendar. The 2026 shortlist has been announced across 21 categories spanning local authorities, waste contractors, technology innovators, independent businesses and community initiatives – with finalists drawn from organisations of all sizes across the UK.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, who will lead proceedings through the afternoon’s awards presentations.

What the day includes

Doors open at midday for a welcome drinks reception, giving guests the opportunity to network with peers and colleagues from across the sector before the afternoon gets underway.

A three-course awards luncheon follows at 1:15pm, before the main ceremony begins at 3pm with winners announced across all 21 categories. The ceremony draws to a close at 4:30pm.

Last chance to book

Gold and Silver tables are still available, with prices starting from £3,030 + VAT for a table of 10. Individual tickets are also available from £405 + VAT.

Organisers are urging anyone yet to book to act quickly, as availability is expected to run out before the event.
