The Waste Leadership Summit
15th October 2026 | No. 4 Hamilton Place, London W1J 7BQ
The Waste Leadership Summit is a national conference from letsrecycle.com for senior leaders across the waste and resources sector — bringing together waste management companies, local authorities, producers, policymakers and investors for one day of honest, high-level discussion at one of Mayfair’s most distinctive venues.
This is not a compliance briefing. Every session is built around what is actually happening in the sector right now, with the people driving it — real case studies, candid conversation and practical takeaways you can use.
The programme covers four sessions:
The state of the sector — keynotes on waste investment, packaging sustainability and circularity from Denise Mathieson and Emma Beal (All We Have Ltd), chaired by Savannah Coombe, Editor of letsrecycle.com.
Making the system work — Kristy Alexander (Local Partnerships), Keith James (WRAP) and Dan Cooke (CIWM) on how public and private sectors are reshaping the waste system together, from circular economy strategy to investment barriers.
What good looks like — real-world case studies from David Taylor and Dan Carolan on the SUEZ Reuse Hub, Jeremy Blake (PackUK) on EPR funding deployment, and James McLeary (Biffa Polymers) on the milk bottle — a blueprint for circular packaging in practice.
Preparing for what’s next — Mike Brown (Rooted Environmental) on DRS as a whole new waste management system, the implications of ETS for the sector and digital waste tracking reshaping business practices.
Six roundtables run during the lunch break — focused peer-to-peer discussions on circular growth, e-waste and vapes, packaging and EPR, food waste, waste crime and the Emissions Trading Scheme. Roundtable access is available as an add-on at checkout for £50 + VAT. Local authority delegates can join a roundtable at no additional cost — places are limited to two per table.
