Prince&#39s Trust still to decide on grant for Telford scheme

A private waste scheme in Telford has not received funding from the youth charity, the Prince's Trust.

letsrecycle.com is pleased to make clear that the application for support for the scheme, from Telford resident, Mandy Gregory is still at a preliminary stage and apologises for any impression given to the contrary.

An application for support to the Trust has been made by Mrs Gregory who started up a fortnightly private collection service after becoming annoyed with Telford and Wrekin council, which collects waste and recyclables on alternate weeks.

The Trust told letsrecycle.com that Mrs Gregory had applied for support. A spokeswoman added: “The Prince's Trust is still to make a decision on whether or not to allocate funds to Mandy Gregory. Before funds can be released, Mandy Gregory has been asked to fulfil a set of recommendations, which include having discussions with her local authority. If Mandy Gregory fulfils the defined criteria, The Trust has emphasised that it will consider all factors before making the final decision as to whether Mandy Gregory will receive a Prince's Trust business loan.”
