Mr March was only recently appointed to the director of contracts post and reported to Graeme Carus, who is himself leaving to join the metals recycling firm EMR.
On a brighter note for Valpak, the organisation is thought to be finalising the appointment of a new chief executive to succeed John Turner who is retiring.
