Highlights from the ESS Expo 2023

ESS Expo 2023, the UK’s leading environmental and sustainability showcase, celebrated a remarkable two-day event on 13-14 September 2023, attracting an incredible turnout of 12,000 industry leaders and over 500 exhibitors.

Around 12,000 people attended the show over the two days

With more than 300 speakers and 120+ live demonstrations, ESS Expo 2023, (which includes RWM Expo as one of its events) set new industry standards, fostering discussions and innovations within the environmental and sustainability sectors.

Leaders

One of the standout moments from ESS Expo 2023 was the thought-provoking “Leaders in Waste” talk, which ignited crucial conversations about the future of waste management. letsrecycle.com reported on this, including the panel laying out their demands for the emissions trading scheme and fears over MRF investment

ESS Expo 2023 also had the privilege of hosting a presentation on the global impact of the acclaimed series “Blue Planet II.” This showcased the influence of media in raising awareness about environmental issues, emphasising the need for collective action. 

The event saw some exciting special guest appearances, including the beloved Wombles, environmental champions, and an appearance by an Ed Sheeran lookalike, adding a touch of star power to the event.
