Global Ardour Recycling has announced the acquisition of assets from metals recycler Enablelink, after the company entered administration.

The deal brings two established operational sites in Birmingham into the Global Ardour Recycling group.

These include a processing yard equipped with shredding and shearing capability, as well as a dedicated transport hub.

As a result of the transaction, Global Ardour Recycling has increased its overall processing capacity and added a third shredder to its operations.

Global Ardour Recycling commented in a statement on LinkedIn: “We are pleased to confirm the acquisition of assets from Enablelink, marking another important step in the continued growth and national expansion of Global Ardour Recycling.

Tipton-based scrap metal recycler

Enablelink is a scrap metal recycling company founded in 2007 and based in Tipton.

The business processes more than 300,000 tonnes of material per year and operates within the UK’s established metal recycling supply chain.

In 2024, Enablelink was acquired by mid-market private equity investor Endless. However, the company entered administration towards the end of 2025.

Raj Mittal and Benjamin Jones of FRP Advisory were appointed as joint administrators at the time.

Following the transaction, the sites are now fully operational, with all services resumed under Global Ardour Recycling.

The statement added: “Importantly, the acquisition has also safeguarded local jobs, contributing positively to the local economy.”

Global Ardour continues expansion

Global Ardour Recycling is a UK-based metal recycling group and a member of the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA).

The company has been expanding its national footprint through a series of acquisitions and ongoing investment in processing and logistics infrastructure.

The Enablelink transaction follows closely on the heels of Global Ardour Recycling’s recent acquisition of Adelphi Limited and its Newport Dock site, further extending its operational capability and geographic reach.
