Finnish waste tech firm set for UK launch at RWM Expo

Finnish waste technology company Periskop is to officially launch in the UK next week at the RWM Expo, taking place on 13-14 September at the NEC, Birmingham.

Stainless steel 'probes' in compost piles report back to an app every hour

Founded in 2016, Periskop is behind the ‘Periskop Monitoring System’ which allows operators to monitor the temperature of biowaste and  compost windrows remotely and at any time.

This works by using wireless stainless steel ‘probes’ which report temperatures back to an app every hour with the required data and preset alerts.

The company explained that the system is able to measure the temperature wirelessly “at the very heart of windrows to help you produce the best compost possible in the most optimised way’’.

“Periskop excels in addressing the stringent temperature requirements of PAS100, backed by years of expertise from Europe’s leading biowaste composting professionals,” the company added.

It will be showcasing the technology over two days at the RWM Expo, on  stand R-H273.

“We believe there will be great interest in our product at the show and we can’t wait to show the industry what our technology is capable of.”
