Dsposal to join Resource Futures for six-month secondment

Resource Futures and software company Dsposal will be joining forces to work on the use of data intelligence in the waste sector.

The partnership will see the four-person Dsposal team join the Resource Futures team on a six-month secondment.

Dsposal focuses on software and data for the resources and waste industry.

“Just as data is becoming an increasingly powerful enabler in working towards a cleaner, less wasteful society, data innovation and intelligence plays an increasingly crucial part of the work we do at Resource Futures,” explained Sam Reeve, CEO of Resource Futures.

“We remain the preferred partner leading many of the UK’s largest waste composition analysis projects; this data gathering expertise is a perfect complement to the technical innovation we will be developing with Sophie, Tom and the rest of the Dsposal team.”

“Since our launch in 2018 we have been committed to innovating to support the Circular Economy with a focus on compliance and data”, added Sophie Walker, co-founder and CEO at Dsposal.

“We’ve built a strong relationship with Resource Futures based on shared values. As a mission driven company, we believe we can really maximise our positive impact by combining our technical expertise with the deep industry knowledge of the Resource Futures team and we’re all excited about what we can achieve together.”

The partnership has collaborated in the past on projects including the development of a waste data modelling tool for ReLondon and an update to the Monitoring and Evaluation tool used across Resource Futures’ communities-focused work.

Waste specialist Resources Futures has recently rebranded to focus on consultancy, communities and data.

“The way we work is evolving, the type of projects we’re taking on is evolving, and the people and skills we have across the company are evolving too,” concluded Reeve.

“We wanted to rethink how we talk about our work and ensure that our communications reflected these developments.”
