EXCLUSIVE: It is understood that the Beauparc Group has further expanded its presence in the North of England with the acquisition of Bagnall & Morris (B&M) Waste Services Ltd.

Merseyside-based B&M Waste Services was established in 1999 and says it offers “recycling-led waste management solutions to businesses across the UK”.

It operates commercial collections across the north of England and offers various services, including for waste collection, shredding, and hazardous waste, among other things.

The company also recently expanded into the Midlands with the acquisition of the trade waste division of One Stop Waste, IW Recycling and Birmingham-based AWS Recycling (see letsrecycle.com story).

Companies House documents show that five directors of the family-owned firm stood down on 7 April. These were David, Graham, Kenneth, Neil, and Paul Curtis.

A comment from the two companies is expected soon. Exact details of the transaction and what is included in the deal at this stage remain unclear.

With B&M being an established firm in the commercial waste sector, it is understood there were other interested parties including other national waste firms.

Founded in Dublin in 1990, Beauparc is a waste management company with a growing presence in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

In June 2021, it was acquired by Macquarie Asset Management (see letsrecycle.com story).

At the time, the asset management firm said Beauparc-owned businesses served more than 340,000 residential, commercial, electricity and gas customers across a portfolio of 40 waste facilities, processing more than three million tonnes of waste each year.

Beauparc has an active interest in the north of England.

It entered the UK market in 2016 with the acquisition of the former New Earth Solutions business (see letsrecycle.com story) and subsequently acquired the Widnes waste management company WSR Recycling Limited (see letsrecycle.com story), which operates in the Liverpool region.

The company continued its expansion into the UK with the acquisition of Leeds-based waste management firm Associated Waste Management Ltd in 2018, Lincolnshire-based waste business Mid UK Recycling in 2019, and Leeds-based skip hire firm LSS Waste Management in 2020.
