For Trio, the purchase sees the company continue expansion in a market where it is one of the UK’s leading specialist waste management vehicle hire operators. Strong in the skip-loader sector, the new acquisition will also help the company increase the range of vehicles available.
“Westside is an old-established and well-respected family firm and as such our acquisition of the company will significantly strengthen our position in East Anglia, London, Kent and the South East,” said Colin Lejeune, Trio Hire Direct manager.
Westside’s fleet is predominantly refuse collectors and gully emptiers.
Joining Trio Hire Direct from Westside is Jamie Warner as contracts manager with a brief to grow the company’s presence among local authorities and private contractors.
