The company supplies vehicle parts to a variety of industries, including recycling and waste.
GPS said that it hopes that the new distribution centre will expand its distribution capabilities in the south of England.
It currently operates other delivery hubs in Skelmersdale in West Lancashire, Gloucester in Gloucestershire, and Dumfries in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
Lewis Woolnough, sales director at GPS, said: “By regularly distributing parts to our Newbury hub, we can eliminate multiple long-distance journeys from our Skelmersdale HQ and operate more efficiently and sustainably.
“Not only will the addition of this hub provide a faster and more efficient delivery service to customers in the south of England, but it will also reduce our road miles and help us to lower our carbon footprint.”
GPS was acquired in 2023 by global vehicle remarketing and recycling company Copart which indicated its intention to grow the business.
Alongside the new distribution centre in Newbury, this is set to include improvements to infrastructure and equipment and the expansion of GPS’ services and operational network.
It currently hosts a warehouse of over 350,000 vehicle parts and a UK-wide owned transport fleet.
Parts can be ordered via its online ordering portal, with options for both next day and “on demand” delivery.
