Spring Resources achieves top 100 status in survey of fastest growing firms

Spring Resources of Swindon has been recognised as one of the hundred fastest growing companies in the UK by this year’s Fast Track 100 research which was published in the Sunday Times earlier this month. With almost 70% growth in sales this year, Spring Resources is the only company from the recycling industry to feature in this year’s listing.

Fast Track is an Oxford-based research company which identifies Britain’s fastest growing unquoted companies. More than 60 of the companies in the listing come from the service sector, such as IT, recruitment and electronic firms. Only 10% of the 100 are manufacturers and amongst them is Spring Resources.

Roy Woolcock, Spring Resources’ managing director and owner, said that he was “very proud of the company’s achievement and I look forward to continued growth and expansion in the future”.

Now employing 75 people, the business recently saw the installation of a large scrap processing shredder in China built by its Metpro manufacturing division in Bridgend.

Last year Spring Resources achieved sales of 3.5 million and this is set to rise to 7 million in 2000.
