RWM has released the full running order for the Connect networking evening set to take place the evening of 16 September 2026, following day one of RWM Expo.

The event, co-hosted by CIWM and RWM Expo, takes place on the opening evening of RWM Expo at The Vox Conference Venue, Birmingham, right next door to the NEC Birmingham, and is expected to draw more than 900 professionals from across the waste, recycling, resource and energy management community.

The running order

Doors open at 7:00pm with an arrival drinks reception, followed by a welcome address at 7:40pm.

From 8:00pm, the main room opens and the evening splits across four distinct spaces: a live band and dance floor, an entertainment zone with casino tables and games, food and beverage stations, and a dedicated area for quieter, more traditional networking.

Free beer, wine and soft drinks run from 8pm to 10pm, with food stations open throughout the evening. A DJ takes over from 10pm, and carriages are called at midnight.

The format is designed to let attendees move between styles of networking over the course of the evening, rather than committing to one format for the night.

The evening is designed to be inclusive of different networking styles, letting attendees move freely between a high-energy and quieter networking areas, rather than committing to one format for the night; focusing on creating a space that caters for all.
