ROAR B2B acquires WWEM and AQE

Events and media group ROAR B2B has recently announced the completed acquisition of the Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) exhibition and the Air Quality and Emission (AQE) exhibition. The exhibitions were formerly owned by ILM Exhibitions.

The events will be staged at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on 9 and 10 October 2024 as part of ROAR B2B’s Environment Portfolio – which also includes the Environmental Services Solutions Expo held in September.

WWEM focuses on instrumentation and services for water and wastewater process monitoring while AQE focuses on instrumentation and services for air quality and emission monitoring.

Rob Mowat, managing director of the environment portfolio at ROAR B2B, commented: “This acquisition represents a very exciting move for our business which will further strengthen our offering in the overall Environment space and cementing our status as the number one media partner for the sector in the UK.”

Marcus Pattison, managing director of ILM Exhibitions, added: “We are excited to see WWEM and AQE joining with ROAR B2B Environmental Division, the acquisition of these two shows will allow WWEM & AQE to continue their growth and reputation.

“We look forward to working alongside the ROAR team over the coming months to deliver a successful 2024 edition and build future partnerships together.”
