The Christchurch-based company believes the German technology will double its production of wood chippings to about 20,000 tonnes a year.

Working with Dorset county council and SITA UK, Eco Composting hopes to treble the size of its business, and two new loading machines should be installed at the site within the next six months.
Funding has come in the form of an 80,000 grant from the Waste and Resources Action Programme.
Eco Composting said there was great demand for its products, which include animal bedding suitable for horses, supplied in bulk to farmers and stables along the south coast.
The company sends courser material to the board mills to be recycled into MDF and chipboard, and also to Slough Heat & Power for use in the generation of electricity.
Managing director Trelawney Dampney said: “There is an enormous demand for our materials and we have found it difficult to keep up with demand. The new machine will improve the quality even further.”
