Recycling

The soft drinks company already operates a closed loop system for the recycling and re-use of PET (polyethylene terephthalate). PET bottles are recycled then sent for re-processing where they are granulated by a third party before being re-introduced for bottle blowing by Logoplaste.
Leyton Powell, head of environment health and safety at Lucozade Ribena Suntory said: “Mitie’s expert knowledge of waste resources and innovative processes will now be accessible to us and will help drive even more efficiency in the Lucozade Ribena Suntory waste streams.
“By using innovation, we can improve our focus on beginning to end of life processes, as well as waste reduction at the source.”
