The loader is the Telehoist Power-Reach 13 and was bought, says LSS managing director Nigel Woodford, for operating efficiency. Mr Woodford also put his decision in part down to after-sales support provided locally by Telehoist service agency, Municipal Commercial Vehicles.
“We knew the advantages the Power Reach offers as we already have four 18 tonners in service,” said Mr Woodford. “The Power Reach 13 is pound-for-pound the best money earner on the fleet.
We use it predominantly for distance work, as with its extending arms it can deliver up to 10 skips at a time.”
Based upon a 13.17 Mercedes 13 tonnes gross vehicle weight Atego chassis, the Telehoist Power Reach features extendable lifting arms with the long reach allowing more containers to be stacked for delivery without returning to base.
