Letsrecycle Live news in brief (08/09/21)

Ahead of Letsrecycle Live taking place next week at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry on 15-16 September, we take a look at the news of some of the companies exhibiting at the show.

The full agenda and registration details can be found here.

ESE World to launch latest waste container

ESE World Ltd, a European manufacturer of “temporary storage systems for waste”, will officially launch its latest container, the Split-Bin, at Letsrecycle Live.

The Split-Bin is a 240-litre-capacity container with a dual-stream capability, aimed at councils and waste management companies that run municipal contracts for kerbside collection containers.

ESE World says its split bin has already been successfully launched in Denmark

Designed to reduce the contamination of recyclates, ESE says the product has already been successfully launched in Denmark.

ESE’s managing director, Peter Vernon, said: “With this kind of bin, the quality of the recyclate yield is higher, which not only attracts a greater return on investment, but only one collection vehicle is needed with one bin tip, meaning companies don’t have to buy or replace multiple caddies.”

He added: “Our Split-Bin allows larger volumes of different materials to be easily stored and separated when compared to their individual box counterparts, and also reduces the collection rate, lowering CO2 emissions and fuel costs.”

As well as launching the Split-Bin at Letsrecycle Live, ESE World will also host a ‘guess the bin weight’ competition for attendees. The firm can be found at stand O2.

Bradshaw to exhibit Goupil electric vehicles

Industrial electric vehicle manufacturer Bradshaw will exhibit its range of Goupil utility vehicles at stand OUT17 at Letsrecycle Live.

On display will be Bradshaw’s G2, G4 and G6 Goupil vehicles. Bradshaw says each is 100% electric and produces zero emissions.

Among the vehicles on show will be Bradshaw’s G6-08 model

Ramsy Labassi, Bradshaw’s marketing manager, said: “With many organisations, businesses and local authorities placing more emphasis on environmental sustainability, the Goupil electric vehicles provide customers with the prospect of not only vastly improving their environmental footprint, but in turn enhancing operational performance and lowering their vehicle operating costs as well.”

The G2 is an all-electric compact road utility vehicle which is available with pick-up, cage and van bodies, while the G4 road vehicles on offer include pick-ups, vans and waste collectors, all designed to transport people and equipment for a variety of different applications. The G6 is the largest in the Goupil range.

Bradshaw says the range provides “sustainable, environmental and cost-effective” solutions for local authorities, industrial sites, resorts and last mile delivery companies.

EDGE Innovate to demonstrate VS420 shredder live

Machinery manufacturer EDGE Innovate will demonstrate its VS420 waste shredder at Letsrecycle Live’s live demo area.

Launched in March 2020 at the Con Expo in Las Vegas, the VS420 offers a host of design features as standard, Edge Innovate says. These features include EDGE Innovate’s Intelligent Load Management and the VS Status Alert Systems, which the company says work in tandem to ensure the efficient loading of the shredder.

EDGE Innovate says the VS420’s 2m long, high torque shredder shafts allow the shredder to achieve “high material throughputs”.

In a statement, EDGE Innovate said: “The VS420 design has been built around the operator to ensure enhanced operational and maintenance safety.

“For example, EDGE’s uplifting power unit, radiator and chamber doors ensure superior maintenance access which is complimented by a ‘One Point’ service area which enables daily maintenance checks to be completed much more efficiently.

“Operators can access fuel and adblue tanks, air filters and oil gauge, all from a single vantage point.”

EDGE Innovate will demonstrate the VS420 at the Letsrecycle Live demo area, with staff on hand at stand LD6 to discuss shredding and processing requirements.

MST shows off Viby buckets

Durham-based earthmoving spare parts retailer MST Parts Group will demonstrate a Viby high-tip bucket at Demo Expo 2021, this year co-located with Letsrecycle Live.

The move follows news in August that MST has been named the sole authorised supplier of the Viby range in the UK.

MST was named the sole authorised supplier of the Viby range in the UK in August

First manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s, Viby buckets are built from full Hardox steel. All rams are cushioned, while components including rams, pins, pipes and bushes are OE quality.

Rory Whitehall, MST’s managing director, said: “Ours is a niche industry where it’s important to speak to somebody who knows the machines and the parts.

“Since the Viby bucket can be designed for different manufacturers and machines, it is important that operators work with a supplier who has the time-served expertise to advise on the best fit for the application.”

MST celebrates 50 years in earthmoving machinery and parts this year.
