Wood recycling firm GI Hadfield and Son has been named as official group holding company for Hadfield Wood Recyclers and UK Wood Recycling as part of restructuring at the Manchester-based company.
The move is intended to streamline accounting processes and help to simplify inter-company transactions. Hadfield Wood Recyclers said the restructuring will not affect the day-to-day running of any of the companies.

GI Hadfield and Son has been operating for more than 30 years as a wood recycler but for the majority of that time it has been known as Hadfield Wood Recyclers.
In 2005, Hadfield Wood Recyclers set up a separate wood recycling business, UK Wood Recycling, which is based at Redcar near Middlesbrough.
UK Wood Recycling has a 10-year-contract to provide biomass wood chip to the Wilton 10 biomass boiler operated by utility company SembCorp.
Under the change to the group holding structure, both Hadfield Wood Recyclers Ltd and UK Wood Recycling Ltd are now recognised as wholly owned subsidiaries of GI Hadfield and Son Ltd.
Paul Harrison, group finance director at Hadfield Wood Recyclers, said: The move to a group holding status is a much simpler structure for Hadfield Wood Recyclers and UK Wood Recycling. It will mean both companies can operate individually but also benefit from being part of a larger group.
The company, which is headquartered in Droylsden, east Manchester, collects and treats waste wood to produce a range of products including horse, poultry and cattle bedding, compost, panel board, arena surfaces and wood chip for fuel.
Employees
In addition to the restructuring, biomass expert Matthew Howarth has joined Hadfield Wood Recyclers as its biomass manager. Mr Howarth previously worked for energy services firm Dalkia and Hadfield said he would bring a wealth of experience in the biomass field to his new role.
Commenting on Mr Howarths appointment, Geoff Hadfield, managing director of Hadfield Wood Recyclers, said: We are really pleased to welcome Matthew on board. He is a young man with a lot of energy and enthusiasm and has already made a positive name for himself in biomass and wood recycling circles.
Biomass is a growth market and we have seen the number of enquiries more than double in the past 12 months. We are delighted Matthew has joined us to help develop that side of our business.
Meanwhile, Cherie Hadfield, former customer services manager at Hadfield Wood Recyclers, has moved to the companys front-end team to become area sales manager for the North of England and the Midlands. Ms Hadfield will be working with existing and new customers to source waste wood for recycling.
