His family have recently issued this statement:
“Following the sudden death of Ray earlier this month, his wife Kim, sons Nick and Simon, and the rest of the family would like to thank friends and colleagues for the many cards, letters and kind messages of sympathy that were passed on during this difficult period. Although this has not been an easy time, the support received has helped greatly.”

Tributes were paid earlier this month by many in the recovered paper industry following the death of Ray Watson chief executive of the British Recovered Paper Association.
