Sponsored by Grundon Waste Management, the event was hosted by Libby Stonell, editor of letsrecycle.com, where she interviewed a panel made up of the three winners from last year’s ceremony – Sarah Key, WRAP; Laura Fisher, FCC Environment and Mark Garvey, Whitespace Work Software. It was an insightful discussion where the group discussed the obstacles young people face within the sector, the importance of enticing the next generation into green skills, the importance of a work-life balance and what the future might look like in regards to technology.
Before the ceremony, Neil Grundon from Grundon Waste Management led an inspiring speech for those in attendance. The top two winners for this year are Darren Forster – Biogen UK and Niamh Harris – Thalia Waste Management
A massive congratulations to all the winners, as well as everyone who submitted an application!
