Dairy Crest and Southern Water contracts won by SITA

SITA has won two new contracts, for work with Dairy Crest and Southern Water.

More than 250 SITA trade waste containers have been delivered to 120 Dairy Crest milk depots across the country for the start of a new waste management contract this summer. The deliveries follows the signing of a three-year contract by Dairy Crest with SITA which will handle the dairy company's waste needs.

“Rationalisation of waste services was a key reason for SITA winning the contract,” said SITA Corporate Accounts Development Manager Louis Calders.

Numerous waste management companies previously serviced Dairy Crest’s distribution sites. Mr Calders said that SITA because of its depots and facilities across the country could offer Dairy Crest the advantage of one contract with one company that could meet the waste collection demands of their 120 sites.

The Southern Water contract is also for three years and covers 241 sewage sites across the south and 15,500 tonnes of waste.
