Created by British Glass and design agency Glue Creative, the resources are available to download for free from the WRAP resource library and include social media graphics, leaflets and a guidance document on how best to utilise the pack.
The resources are designed to promote the benefits of and encourage an increase in recycling glass bottles and jars across the UK whether a council has kerbside collection or bring sites.
“It’s as important as ever to make sure bottles and jars are recycled”
Claire Shrewsbury, head of government and communities at WRAP, said: “With more and more glass packaging entering our homes throughout 2020 it’s as important as ever to make sure these bottles and jars are recycled.
“This set of resources should give local councils all the tools they will need to create their own communications campaigns encouraging their residents to recycle their glass either through kerbside collections or bottle bank sites.”

Recycling loop
Victoria Adams, communications manager at British Glass, said: “While many areas of the UK have seen an increase in glass recycling due to people spending more time at home, we wanted to carry on that momentum over the Christmas period and into next year which is why this partnership with WRAP and Recycle Now is perfect.
“The resources include a wide range of infographics, social media content, video, and leaflets aimed at residents to cover both digital and print meaning they are accessible to all, as well as guidance for local councils on how best to use them in their own campaigns.
“We all want more glass to get back into the recycling loop and we hope that these resources can help local authorities across the UK to achieve that.”
