Panda Recycling bolsters UK leadership team with two senior appointments
Panda Recycling has appointed Martin Rose as UK Sales Director and Hayley Adams as UK Processing Director as the company continues to expand its operations across the UK.
Rose joins the business with commercial leadership experience across the waste management, environmental services and industrial sectors.
In his new role, he will lead Panda Recycling’s sales strategy, develop key customer relationships and support continued revenue growth.
Adams brings experience in processing operations, operational improvement and site leadership.
As UK Processing Director, she will oversee the company’s UK processing operations, focusing on efficiency, operational excellence and long-term growth.

Green Alliance names Mike Davis as Chief Executive

Green Alliance has appointed Mike Davis as its new Chief Executive, with the former Global Witness leader set to take up the role on 23 September 2026.
Davis joins the environmental think tank after 23 years at Global Witness, including the last six as CEO. During his tenure, he oversaw a significant shift in the organisation’s campaigning strategy, with a focus on climate justice and environmental accountability.
He succeeds Shaun Spiers OBE, who led Green Alliance for eight years.
Blanche Shackleton will continue as interim Executive Director until Davis joins in September.

Andrew Stokes to join South Lanarkshire Council in senior role

Andrew Stokes is set to join South Lanarkshire Council as Head of Facilities, Waste & Grounds Services in August, following more than three decades with Fife Council.
Stokes announced the move on LinkedIn as he officially began his notice period after 32 years with Fife Council.
During his time with the local authority, he worked across a range of services and played a key role in delivering projects and services for local communities.
Commenting on his departure, Stokes said: “It’s not often you get the chance to spend over three decades in one organisation, and doing so has been an absolute privilege.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible colleagues and contributed to services that make a real difference in our communities. The support, teamwork, collaboration and shared commitment over the years have meant a great deal.
“I’ll carry those experiences with me into this next exciting chapter in my life and career.”
British Plastics Federation appoints new Vice-President

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) has appointed Philip Maddox, Managing Director of Leafield Environmental, as its vice-president for 2026-27.
The appointment was confirmed at a recent BPF Council meeting, which also saw President Martin Hitchin of Rehau unanimously re-elected for a second year in office.
Maddox brings extensive industry experience to the role, having led Leafield Environmental since 2011.
He previously spent a decade as sales and marketing director at speciality plastics manufacturer Zotefoams, overseeing business across European and Asian markets.
A long-standing contributor to the Federation, Maddox has served on the BPF Council and its Strategy and Finance Committee, and currently chairs the BPF’s Rotational Moulders Group.
Maddox is widely expected to be nominated as BPF President when Hitchin steps down from the role in May 2027.
CTS Hire promotes Tina Nutley to Hire Manager

CTS Hire has promoted Tina Nutley to Hire Manager as the Gloucestershire-based vehicle hire company continues to invest in its fleet.
Nutley steps into the role after more than 15 years with the business, having most recently served as Assistant Hire Manager.
She brings operational experience and a strong understanding of customer requirements across the municipal and specialist vehicle sectors.
