Dixon joins the recycling company after three years as International Sales and Business Development Manager at Countryside Metals, and has over 18 years of experience in non-ferrous metals and global recycling markets.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Dixon commented: “I’m excited to share that I’ve decided to embark on a new professional adventure and starting tomorrow will be joining EMR as Commercial General Manager.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a business at the forefront of innovation in the recycling industry and I’m genuinely looking forward to getting started, meeting the wider team and seeing what we can achieve together.”

The company announced its rebrand to ‘Everything Must Recycle’ at the beginning of the month, reflecting the company’s shift from a metals recycling company to covering a wider range of materials.

RPM expands team into Poland

Recycling Plant and Machinery (RPM) has announced the next stage of its international growth, with a new sales team based in Poland.

The expansion will enable the company to work more closely with customers in the region, providing a direct point of contact for companies looking to buy or sell recycling machinery.

Piotr Borkowski and Mateusz Graba have been appointed to lead RPM’s development in Poland, both having been working in the recycling sector for the last 20 years.

They will help companies source suitable recycling equipment while also identifying surplus and underused machinery that RPM can market to its international network of buyers.

RPM Managing Director Paul Caldwell said: “Establishing a presence in Poland is an exciting step for RPM and an important part of our continued international growth.

“Our aim is to ensure our current customers and new opportunities are handled by our team at a more local level, while maintaining RPM’s international marketing reach, technical experience and ability to manage the complete machinery sales process.”

Tanker Rent UK has appointed Paul Merchant as Head of Waste and Industrial.

Merchant brings first-hand knowledge of running the specialist vehicles used by waste and drainage operators, with over 25 years of experience in the fuel tanker rental market.

He joins from Ermin Plant, where he was Commercial Manager.

Merchant has experience running a waste and industrial fleet, which Tanker Rent said gives him direct insight into how operators select, use and manage specialist tankers, and will help shape the vehicles Tanker Rent UK sources.

Before joining Ermin, Merchant held senior roles at William Gilder Group, where he ran its waste and industrial fleet.

Lennon Compton, Managing Director of Tanker Rent UK, said “Paul has been responsible for running the same types of vehicles our customers use. He understands the work they carry out, the challenges they face and what they need from a hired unit once it arrives.

“At Ermin Plant, he helped customers hire almost every type of vehicle and equipment imaginable. That combination of experience will help our customers get the right vehicles for their work and deliver a better service to their own customers.”
