All you need to know ahead of RWM & Letsrecycle Live 2022

JCB is exhibiting at RWM & Letsrecycle Live and among its exhibits will be a purpose-built electric powered Wastemaster machine

After much consideration it has been decided that the RWM and Letsrecycle Live 2022 show will go ahead as planned on 14-15 September, the organisers of this week’s event have said.

In a statement, ROAR B2B and the Environment Group said: “Everyone involved with RWM and Letsrecycle Live express our great sorrow at the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“We also offer our deepest condolences to the royal family at this sad time. At the show, we will take time to show our respect and reflect on The Queen’s immense contribution to life in the UK and around the globe.”

Below, the organisers give useful information for visitors to the two-day event.

Show

RWM & Letsrecycle Live 2022 is taking place at the NEC Birmingham, the combined event will bring together both shows across 14 conference theatres, with more than 500 exhibitors and an expected attendance of more than 12,000.

The free-to-attend event will be spread across nearly 50,000m2 of indoor space across five halls and an additional 10,000m2 of outdoor space.

Registration

Admission is free and you can click here to claim your free ticket.

Once you have registered you will be sent an email with a barcode, bring this with you on your phone and scan it at one of the self-serve terminals. Your badge will be printed automatically.

Doors open at 09:30 on the first day (14 September) and 09:15 for the second day.

Directions 

 

Trains

The NEC is right next to Birmingham International Rail Station. You can get to any of our halls quickly and conveniently, without having to step outside.

The NEC entrance is on the right hand side as you exit the station, and clearly signposted.

Many services run direct to Birmingham International. If yours doesn’t, you can catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street. There are regular services, and the journey only takes 10-15 minutes. Buses to the NEC can be caught at Birmingham Moor Street and Solihull stations.

Driving

The NEC is in the perfect location for car travel – 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre, and at the heart of the UK motorway network.

With 16,500 spaces available there is plenty of room. Follow the electronic signage or directions provided by our traffic team to get you to the right car park area for your event. Once you’ve parked you can either take a free shuttle bus or walk to the halls using our signposted footpaths.

Parking

Options for parking can be found here, including an option to book a space in advance.

Conference

The inaugural combined RWM & Letsrecycle Live show will be split into six sections; Collections & transport, machinery & equipment, recycling services, trucks in action, energy from waste and an outdoor area.

The conference programme will be split across eight theatres, which you can view here.

From AGM’s to working group meetings, to full scale conferences and workshops, RWM and Letsrecycle Live will also play host to a range of networking events.

In addition to structured meetings, there are a range of networking rooms, areas and cafes located on the exhibition floor for informal meetings and business discussions.

Live demo

Throughout both days will be timed events in the live demo area and vehicle arena, with all the leading manufacturers on show.
