The announcement came as the Thetford company acquired skip hire business Whiteaway Waste Management this week – the fourth and largest takeover by Pearsons during the last 12 months.

The acquisition of Whiteaway adds a fleet of eight vehicles, 500 skips and 100 specialist containers to the Pearson's business as well as a depot and landfill site at Stoke Ferry, near King's Lynn.
Pearsons, which won a local trade and investment award for its exports of recyclable materials, now employs 90 people with a turnover of 8 million.
Managing director Jo Pearson said: “We've expanded our waste collection business considerably over the past year, both through acquisition and the growth of our existing business.”
MRF
The new 1.5 million MRF is to be built at the company's Wretham waste transfer site. Mr Pearson said: “Incorporating the very latest recycling technology we will be able to recover for re-use more than 80% of the waste we handle, reducing considerably the loss to landfill of potentially recoverable materials.”
China and India are the primary markets for recyclable material exported by Pearsons, with the company achieving an annual income of more than 1 million for the sale of plastics and cardboard abroad.
This year also saw Pearsons taking over Attleborough firm Woodys, Aves of Hinderclay and Arnall Capps Bins of Thurton.
