Winners include Blue Machinery, Greencar Depollution, Malvern Panalytical and Salvage Wire.

Split into four categories, the awards aim to recognise the leading players in the auto-dismantling and metals recycling sectors.

The ceremony took place at a charity dinner after the first day of CARS & MRE, where nearly £3,000 was raised for charity.

Robert Mowat, director of the environment division at RoarB2B, said: “Receiving industry recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of individuals and organisations within our field.

“The winners of these awards have demonstrated exemplary commitment to the environment, paving the way for a sustainable future. We applaud their efforts and celebrate their achievements. These accolades not only acknowledge their accomplishments but also inspire others to take bold steps towards environmental stewardship.”

Winners

The first category was for ‘dedication to the industry’. This looked to recognise the commitment to outstanding personal performance, working towards bettering the vehicle or metals recycling industry through hard work, but above all, perseverance.

This was won by Andy Latham of Salvage Wire Ltd. Allen & Myers scrap metal merchants were also on the shortlist.

The second award was for ‘sustainable solutions’. This recognition was for those striving for sustainable pathways in business and or are enhancing the current service models, products or operations within their business.

This was won by Malvern Panalytical, with JCB and Scrap Local runners up.
