Scott Butler, general manager for the scheme's UK operations, which are based in London, said: “We are approaching the end of the second compliance period. This time last year there was a lot of uncertainty with delays, disputes over evidence trading and the threat of the new WEEE system failing. It will be interesting to see if any of these issues remain unresolved. Obviously the economic climate is very different now, so there are new challenges.”
