Nottinghamshire-based brokerage firm UK Waste Solutions Ltd, which rebranded as Novati in May, has acquired Norfolk-based skip hire firm AMA Waste.

The deal for an undisclosed sum will see AMA Waste join the Novati group, which also includes C&M Waste Management, Click Waste UK and Evolution Waste Management.

Novati explained that by bringing together the two businesses, “we’re further strengthening our position as the UK’s leading broker in delivering truly sustainable solutions”.

Max Kanda, managing director of Novati, said: “The acquisition of AMA Waste Management Limited strengthens our position as the leading broker in the UK waste and resource management sector. We welcome AMA’s staff, suppliers and customers on board and look forward to working in partnership with you all to deliver environmentally and economically sustainable solutions.”

Services

Novati explained that AMA Waste had been one of the leading operators in the construction and demolition market for “several years”.

AMA Waste, based in Kings Lynn, offers a range of services from skip hire to site clearances, as well as commercial waste and hazardous collections.

Novati says the acquisition will allow the company “to continue to grow its range of well-established waste & resource management services”.

“The acquisition is further evidence of the group’s ability to deliver against its growth strategy, which combines organic growth with targeted investments,” Novati added.

Ben Lukey, managing director of AMA Waste Management Ltd, said: “In selling the business, one of our key considerations was finding a buyer that shared our family values and that would build on our success. UK Waste Solutions Limited was the perfect fit, and we know that our staff, customers and suppliers are in good hands.”
