The golf tournament, organised by letsrecycle.com, is set to take place at the luxurious Buckinghamshire Golf Course in the south of the county and is one of the most prestigious events in the waste and recycling events calendar.
In total, 22 teams from across waste management and recycling firms, environmental consultancies and the vehicle and plant community are set to tee off to find the true Masters of Waste in tomorrows competition.
The day will include former European Tour pro Roger Winchester taking some of the golfers through their paces. Mr Winchester, who won the English amateur title in 1985 at the age of 18, is now a certified instructor under the comprehensive tutelage of leading golf instructor David Leadbetter.
In addition, the competitors will be treated to a showpiece from trick-shot specialist Paul The Striker Barrington. The PGA Golf professional was named 2005 Trick Shot champing and is twice winner of the British Long Drive title.
Throughout the day, the golfers will also be able to compete in a series of hole challenges, which includes the possibility to win a Mercedes courtesy of Hughes, Beaconsfield.
Challenges also include nearest-to-the-pin challenge and a longest drive challenge, both sponsored by Shanks Group.
Bill Mowat, chairman of letsrecycle.com, said: I understand that time is very precious in business, particularly during these difficult economic times; so I hope all the competitors get a chance to relax, catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones but, most importantly, enjoy themselves.
Following the day, golfers will be treated to after dinner speeches from industry guests and a well-known sports personality.
Part of the proceeds raised from the day will go to the Child Bereavement Charity, which works to support families, professionals and young people through exceptionally difficult circumstances.
