Molly Hooper takes home an Apple iPad for her inspiring ‘Recycling Can Man’ picture shot while holidaying at a campsite in Salou, Spain.
The Telford & Wrekin waste operational contract officer was snapped alongside the local campsite refuse crew, who helped her build the model out of recyclable drinks cans.
She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won the 2015 Summer Recycling Selfie competition given the strength of some of the other entries. It really goes to show how committed people have been to recycling this summer.”
Commenting on the photo at the RWM Show in Birmingham this week, DHL Envirsolutions’ Karl Greig congratulated Molly on a ‘wonderful’ entry.
He said: “I was really impressed by the wide range of entries from around the globe, and the enthusiasm that so many people have shown. This entry from Spain is a particularly impressive effort.”

Molly’s entry was just one of dozens of selfies submitted from holiday destinations across the world, from Australia and the US to towns and resorts closer to home.
