Letsrecycle Live, which features live and static equipment, conference theatres and networking events takes place at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry on 22-23 May.
Commodities, local authority topics and keynote speakers feature on the conference agenda.
Speakers
Day one will include a special session updating the audience on the thinking behind the Resources and Waste Strategy coupled with views on how it should be delivered. Speakers include Claire Shrewsbury, head of government and communities, WRAP; Adrian Hawkes, policy director, Valpak; Jeff Rhodes, head of environment and external affairs, Biffa; and Daniel Roberts, waste team leader and vice chair at LARAC.
Event manager Ali McQueen said: “Also on the first day (22 May), there will be a Leaders in Waste session which will provide attendees with a powerful insight into the latest thinking and direction of the UK’s waste management industry. Among the participants will be chief executives, David Palmer-Jones of SUEZ UK and Michael Topham of Biffa.”
Mr McQueen said that other show highlights will include presentations in the Materials Village Conference Theatre which will be focussing on a range of different material streams and related topics.
These range from: Producer Responsibility with Robbie Staniforth, chair of the Packaging Scheme Forum; Charging for Garden Waste with Victoria Woodhouse, customer relations & performance manager for Lichfield and Tamworth Joint Waste Service; and issues around vehicle emissions presented by Brian Robinson, commercial vehicle emissions specialist at the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership.
The two days of seminars are open to all and will run alongside the show’s live demonstrations of equipment and static displays.
