He said: “We will hopefully be putting out guidance tomorrow once it is signed off. It will definitely address the issue that's at hand in terms of storage.”
It is expected that the guidance will include changes to the maximum storage limits at permitted and exempt waste sites.
PACKAGING RECYCLING CONFERENCE –

The drop in the value of recyclables will be discussed at a conference in central London on December 11. The event, with government, industry and authority speakers, will also look at the targets for packaging recycling and assess likely developments in 2009.

Stakeholders
WRAP is expected to hold a further meeting tomorrow (November 10) over the turbulence in the market for recovered materials which will include a wider range of stakeholders including representatives of exporters and reprocessors. The event is expected to be chaired by the Environment Agency's head of waste, Liz Parkes.
A spokesman for WRAP said today that there was a series of meetings taking place this week but there was unlikely to be any announcements made before Wednesday afternoon at the earliest.
A statement put out by the organisation said: “WRAP is meeting with the Environment Agency, DEFRA and other stakeholders early next week to consider the steps which can be taken to support the market. We will then provide an update on the planned actions by next Friday (14 November).”
