Sponsored by GJF Fabrications, over the Christmas period and until 5 January, we are asking readers to send in their wittiest recycling-themed limericks: humorous rhymes comprising five lines.
Following our Christmas cracker competition in 2015, we were overwhelmed by the quantity – and quality – of jokes we received throughout December. So this year we have upped the ante. We are looking for brief poems that incorporate waste and recycling in any way imaginable; just remember to keep it light!
The winning wordsmith will receive a Virgin Experience voucher for a range of possible activities or visits.
Scroll through the limericks below to enjoy the industry’s humour and poetic skills.
Please send your suggestions now to news@letsrecycle.com with final entries by 5pm on 5 January 2017, and the winning entry will be announced in the New Year.
This year’s Christmas competition sponsor is GJF Fabrications. Based in the West Midlands, the company has over 25 years’ experience manufacturing a comprehensive range of skips, containers and recycling banks.
