This enables them to have recyclable paper and cardboard collected directly from their premises.

They also receive advice packs on waste reduction and promotional material to demonstrate their 'green' credentials to the public, customers and suppliers.

Expanded
The service began in July with 80 companies signed up in Selby, Sherburn and Tadcaster, and has since been expanded to cover the whole district.
The council also operates a 'D;on’t Bin It, Box It kerbside collection for private homes.
Selby is a growth area near York and the council said it wanted to work in partnership with businesses to help them to expand.
According to the council Environment Agency data shows that companies spend some 5% of their turnover on waste disposal, and Sorted would therefore help the local economy by reducing these costs.
Colin Wallwork, spokesman for Selby Chamber of Trade, said: “Many firms realise how important the environment is to their future prosperity, and those taking part are demonstrating their commitment to waste minimisation. The collections will also have a direct benefit on business outgoings.”
