Scottish food waste recycling trials delayed

Food waste collection trials due to begin earlier this year in Scotland have been delayed as a result of May's change of government north of the border, writes Emily Ross.

The trials were being managed by the market development organisation Remade Scotland, to evaluate the efficiency of different methods of food waste collection and to assess the viability of recycling food waste throughout Scotland.

They didn't know what the priorities of the new administration would be and so all major announcements were delayed.
