The Cars and Metals Recycling event is running from Wednesday July 13 until Thursday July 14 at Donnington Park Race Circuit in Derby with JCB as the headline partner.

The UK metal recycling market is worth an estimated £5 billion, according to the British Metals Recycling Association.
Debate
The opening of the Duesmann and Hensel-sponsored conference kicks off with a debate on the state of the industry. Roy Hathaway, Europe policy advisor, from the Environmental Services Association will be chairing the session.
Speakers in the opening session also include: Robert Fell, chief executive, of the British Metals Recycling Association; Nicky Cunningham, deputy director of site-based regulation at the Environment Agency and Roger Morton, director of Axion Recycling, who is presenting a case study looking at ways to recover useful material from shredder residue.
Exports
There is also a session dedicated to exports, which will be led by Black Country Metals chair Peter Matthews.
Kobelco will be demonstrating how their car dismantling machine Sk210D-9 can convert a complete ELV chassis into manageable parts.

E H Hassell and Sons will be presenting their range of Bronneberg Alligator Shears and cable strippers.
Other equipment on show from the business includes a Panizzolo, Hammermill, an Ing Bongfiglioli Shear and Sennebogen Material Handler.
Hammel will be shredding complete and partially dismantled vehicles with their VB 950 DK ‘Red Giant’ primary shedder. The material will be fed through Hammel’s Mobile Metal Screen and the MMS 150 DK to separate non-ferrous and ferrous metals, with the company claiming its process leads to a ‘fast’ and ‘efficient’ separation.
