Anglian Waste Recycling Group has acquired Midlands-based LW Skips.

The acquired company is based in Cannock and has offered skip hire, waste management and recycling services in Cannock, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Walsall and the wider Staffordshire and Birmingham areas for over 25 years.

Anglian Waste Recycling said that the move marks the next phase of its growth and serves to strengthen its position in the UK.

Lee Storer, Managing Director at Anglian Waste Recycling Group, said: “The acquisition represents the latest step in Anglian Waste Recycling Group’s long-term growth strategy, with further investment, recruitment and expansion planned over the coming months.

“Customers will continue to receive the same trusted local service, with the added benefit of access to a broader range of environmental solutions as the business develops.”

The acquisition means that existing customers will now have access to a wider range of services, including demolition, asbestos removal, recycling, earthworks and land remediation, scaffolding and specialist waste management services.

The Group is already involved in several demolition projects across the Midlands, and added that it is planning further contracts and investment as it continues to expand its regional presence across the UK.

This investment includes a programme of fleet rebranding, operational improvements and additional equipment.

Anglian Waste Recycling Group currently offers demolition services, asbestos removal, scaffolding, remediation and regeneration, hazardous waste removal, waste and metal recycling, skip hire and RoRo hire.

It was founded in 2007 and currently employs approximately 100 people.
